March 1, 2022 (San Diego, CA) – Procopio Partner S. Todd Neal has assumed a position on Procopio’s Management Committee, having been elected by the partnership. The former leader of the firm’s Litigation Team, Neal now occupies the seat previously held by Partner Michael J. Changaris.

“Todd Neal has long provided Procopio his wisdom and leadership as a Partner and team leader,” said Procopio Managing Partner John D. Alessio. “He’ll play a critical role as our growing firm continues to focus its efforts on providing superior client service while ensuring a positive and supportive workplace for its attorneys and employees.”

Neal focuses on three trial practices: corporate and commercial litigation; representation of plaintiffs in serious injury and wrongful death matters; and defense of government investigations including actions brought by government agencies such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and industry regulatory agencies such as the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). He has successfully defended and prosecuted numerous high value business disputes involving claims of breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and securities claims. Neal also has experience representing plaintiffs in wrongful death and serious injury. He has served as lead trial counsel in more than thirty-five jury trials tried to verdict.

Named to the Best Lawyers® list in San Diego since 2016 in multiple practices, including Personal Injury Litigation-Plaintiffs and Criminal Defense-White Collar, Neal has an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell®. He earned his JD from the University of Illinois at Chicago John Marshall School of Law and a BA from the University of California Irvine.
