Overview
Michael advises clients in the areas of construction and litigation. His construction practice includes the prosecution and defense of claims arising out of public and private construction projects. Mike has experience litigating disputes involving contracts, construction claims, construction defect, extra work, changed conditions, warranty, delay, disruption, acceleration, contract interpretation, mechanic’s liens, stop notice and payment/performance bonds. Mike also handles business and commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and professional liability.
- Represented subcontractor against construction defect claims on private mixed-use project.
- Represented general contractor in complex arbitration involving prosecution of extra work and delay claims, defense of Owner delay and defect claims, and defense of subcontractor contract claims on large multi-tenant residential project.
- Represented general contractor against trade secret misappropriation claims relating to construction of data center.
- Represented subcontractor in prosecution of contract, extra work, bond, and mechanic’s lien claims.
- Represented general contractor in prosecution of contract, extra work, bond, and mechanic’s lien claims.
- Represented project owner in prosecution of construction defect claims and contractor’s license violation against roofing contractor.
