Parking Management Company Secures Contract for 34 Airports in Spain
Kudos to client and parking and mobility solutions facilitator Ace Parking for its winning bid to manage the parking facilities at 34 airports in Spain, including Madrid (pictured) and Barcelona. The total facilities Ace Parking began managing on March 1, 2022, include 150,000 parking spaces and 100,000,000 annual parking transactions. Operations Ace Parking is managing include on-site shuttle operations and an online reservation system.
Securing this impressive contract was accomplished in a very short turnaround. Ace President Steve Burton and the company’s manager at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport learned of the opportunity through a European contact. Within 24 hours after Steve reaching out to contract providers EYSA and Setex to learn more, Zoom meetings were expedited. Assisting ACE Parking with international tax planning and structuring for this deal is Procopio Partner Enrique Hernandez-Pulido. International Tax Intern Guillermo Gonzalez is assisting with tax research.
“This herculean effort by ACE and my team could not have happened at many U.S.-based parking companies,” Steve Burton said. “The ones that could have qualified would have been stuck in committee, legal, or the Board level trying to even look at and respond to this RFP opportunity. Not, so with ACE! As the largest privately owned, 72-year third-generation Parking Company in the country, ACE was nimble enough to mobilize our organization within hours and successfully responded to a 34 Airport RFP in less than 60 days – and WON!!!!”
