Procopio’s Intellectual Property Litigation team has a new leader. Experienced Partner Robert “Bob” Sloss takes the reins of our active practice from our Silicon Valley office. Bob brings leadership experience to the IP Litigation team both as a law firm partner and as an in-house industry counsel.

Bob has broad experience in litigating patents related to a variety of technologies, including software, computer peripherals, mechanical devices and biotechnology, as well as matters involving copyright, trademark and trade secrets. He leverages his experience as a senior in-house lawyer with leading technology innovator Oracle to resolve his clients’ legal disputes. Bob joined Procopio about eleven years ago. He has a Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent rating and has been recognized by Super Lawyers.

Procopio’s IP Litigation team provides clients a deep bench of experienced litigators with decades of experience representing a wide range of companies from startups to members of the Fortune 500. Our IP litigators manage disputes in federal, state or appellate courts as well as before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board. They focus on driving their clients’ long-term growth, which could include developing alternative strategies to IP litigation such as structuring novel settlements, crafting dispute resolutions and engaging in quasi-litigation and administrative proceedings. Our IP litigators represent both plaintiffs and defendants with a focus on keeping costs in check.

In his new leadership role, Bob will work closely with the leader of Procopio’s award-winning Intellectual Property team, Partner Miku Mehta, also based in our Silicon Valley office.
