Innovative Mobility Solutions Provider Secures Significant Tolling Contracts in Colorado and Georgia

Kudos to our longtime client, Mobility Solutions innovator Neology, on securing its largest tolling-as-a-service contract in company history to provide tolling along Colorado’s US 36 and I-25 facilities for at least ten years. This unique contract with Plenary Roads Denver ties the latter’s fees to road usage, benefiting drivers by tightly aligning costs to traffic volume. This follows on the heels of another success, securing a ten-year contract with Georgia’s State Road and Tollway Authority’s Toll Integration Service Contractor to take responsibility for all four of the contractor’s current tolling facilities, including I-75 South Metro Express Lanes, I-75 Northwest Corridor Express Lanes (NWC), I-85 Express Lanes, and I-85 Express Lanes Extension.

From Neology’s earliest beginnings, Procopio Intellectual Property Partner Noel Gillespie has supported the patent needs of Neology, which serves global transportation and law enforcement agencies with an integrated mobility platform. Neology now has a robust patent strategic patent portfolio with over 200 granted and pending patents. Noel is assisted in his patent prosecution pursuits by Alejandro Echeverria.

Procopio provides Neology other legal services when needed, including patent litigation (Bob Sloss, Victor Felix and Raymond Chan); trademark services (Neil Salyards); corporate litigation (John Alessio, Alex Brizolis and Eric Plourde); data privacy (Elaine Harwell); government contracts (Laurence Phillips); and corporate law (John Cleary and Trent Andrews).

Headquartered in Carlsbad, California, Neology is a global technology company with manufacturing and operations facilities in North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. They reimagine mobility by combining artificial intelligence with state-of-the-art tolling, automated vehicle identification and classification, data processing, and digital payment systems. Neology’s mission is to help communities around the world enhance mobility, increase sustainability, improve safety, and generate increased revenue.
