October 1, 2024: Procopio’s award-winning Real Estate Law practice has added a new partner experienced in counseling clients throughout the commercial development process, including both lenders and borrowers. Gregory Oleson joins our downtown San Diego office from Lewis Brisbois, where he was the managing partner of its Indian Wells office and co-chair of its Real Estate & Land Use practice.

“We couldn’t be more excited to have Greg Oleson join our growing Real Estate team,” said Real Estate Team Leader Jeff Stoke. “He’s experienced in representing clients in all elements of commercial real estate transactions, including financial restructuring and loan workouts, adding further depth to an already robust practice.”

Greg brings his clients over thirty years of experience. He specializes in commercial real estate, handling acquisitions, sales, entitlements, and development for developers at local, regional, and national levels across all stages of transactions. He counsels lenders and borrowers on loan modifications, workouts, and the preparation of commercial loan documentation. Greg assists clients in buying and selling existing commercial properties, unimproved land for residential development, and mixed-use commercial projects.

Greg also advises commercial landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and long-term ground leases. Additionally, he represents non-conventional lenders and institutional banks in lending, loan workouts, and restructurings, and documents both secured and unsecured loans. Greg earned his JD from Marquette University School of Law and a BA from Elmira College. He previously served as in-house counsel for a publicly traded company, managing mergers and acquisitions in the U.S. and Latin America.
