Chambers and Partners Cites Practice and Two Partners, Construction Executive Magazine Ranks Practice Among Top Law Firms

Procopio’s Construction Law practice has for the ninth straight year been recognized as a top practice in California by Chambers and Partners®, an independent research company delivering detailed rankings and insight into the world’s leading lawyers. Partners Mary Salamone and  Craig Ramseyer have also been singled out for Chambers individual recognition as top attorneys in their field, a distinction both have earned for several years running. Chambers recognition results from a rigorous research process involving analysis of litigation and related matters and interviews with clients and competitors.

In addition, for the fourth straight year the Construction practice has been recognized by Construction Executive magazine in its annual Top 50 Construction Law Firms™ list at #30. To determine the ranking, the magazine surveyed hundreds of U.S. law firms with a construction practice, assessing revenues, number of attorneys, percentage of overall firm revenue related to its construction practice, states in which it is licensed to practice, the year the practice was established, and the number of clients served.

Chambers said Procopio “is highlighted for its impressively broad construction practice, advising on areas such as contract preparation, bid protests and litigation. The team draws on additional capabilities in environmental regulatory matters and OSHA investigations. Its clients include general contractors, subcontractors and sureties.” One individual interviewed by Chambers said of Procopio that it has “seasoned lawyers with good experience who are responsive and timely.”

As for Mary Salamone, Chambers said she “has notable expertise advising her clients on risk management, competitive bidding and delay issues. She has experience acting for her clients in complex and high-value disputes, and counts contractors, owners, municipalities and government agencies, among her varied clientele. Chambers quoted two interview subjects, one calling Mary “a tough litigator and very knowledgeable and another noting she “is focused and always well prepared.”

Craig Ramseyer, Chambers said, “is a popular choice for clients seeking advice on various construction matters. He has experience in a wide range of construction disputes, including delay claims and breach of contract disputes.” One interview subject said of Craig that he “is a well-known, capable trial lawyer, who is easy to deal with.”
