- Provide comprehensive support to attorneys, managing complex client matters with precision and professionalism.
- Draft, format, and proofread a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
- Oversee electronic and physical case file management, ensuring organization and compliance with firm policies.
- Coordinate attorney schedules, arrange meetings, and track crucial deadlines.
- Prepare and follow up on client engagement agreements, briefs, discovery responses, motions, and more.
- Conduct basic legal and factual research related to public law, healthcare regulations, and government contracting.
- Handle e-filing across various federal and state jurisdictions.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and opposing counsel with a professional and courteous demeanor.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a legal secretary, preferably in healthcare, government, or public law.
- Proficient with legal software and e-filing systems (Adobe, Microsoft Office, iManage, TruFiling, CM/ECF, etc.).
- Outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks independently.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a commitment to our Culture of Excellence.
- Experience with large-scale real estate transactions and public sector legal processes is a plus (bond counsel, open meetings and records rules, etc.).
- Associate’s degree in an administrative or legal field preferred.
Procopio is looking to add an experienced Litigation Paralegal to our dynamic team Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation team in any of our California offices. We are looking for a Paralegal with 5+ years of experience within an IP Litigation and/or Commercial Litigation team. The ideal candidate will have experience providing trial support in a trial and/or arbitration setting, managing large case files, assisting with brief preparation, coordinating with attorneys and staff on client requests, and working closely with our internal eDiscovery team. The position involves document review, document management, and the ability to handle a diverse and large caseload. The candidate must have experience with E-filings and paper filings in the Federal Circuit, Court of Appeals, Federal, State, TTAB, PTO, and ITC (not required, but ideal) courts including filings under seal.
Our top candidates have considerable working experience in Relativity or a similar document review platform and are fluent in Trial Director, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and proficient in legal research (Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, etc.) Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are required including excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve problems; self-motivated, determined, and able to work under own initiative; and a demonstrated commitment to the Firm’s Client Service Strategy. The best candidates will be confident, competent, and flexible and while experienced will be excited to learn and grow with the team. Position requires a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA Approved Program.

Procopio offers generous total compensation packages. Typical pay range for this role is from $80,000 to $110,000 per year depending on experience. If your pay expectation is outside this range, we still encourage you to apply. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance.
