Kudos to longtime client Aya Healthcare, the largest healthcare talent software and staffing company in the U.S., on its recent acquisitions of two separate software companies that further bolsters the company’s AI capabilities and expands its ability to help healthcare organizations reduce labor costs by using the power of predictive analytics in their staffing processes.

Aya’s first acquisition was Flexwise Health. Through sophisticated analysis of hundreds of thousands of data points, Flexwise technology forecasts gaps in patient demand and staffing levels to assist hospitals in optimizing resource allocation and cost. Procopio Partner Dennis Doucette oversaw the acquisition on behalf of Aya assisted by Trent Andrews and Kaitlyn Jensen, with Helen Goldstein leading the overall effort.

Aya’s second acquisition was Polaris AI, a machine learning platform that predicts future patient volume and staffing levels in clinical settings, leading to greater efficiency and cost savings for healthcare organizations. Polaris utilizes proprietary machine learning algorithms to intelligently inform staffing needs, and provide tools for systems to effectively distribute internal resources and plan alternative schedules. As with the Flexwise Health deal, Dennis Doucette oversaw the acquisition with assistance from Trent Andrews and Kaitlyn Jensen, and Takeshi Sumida led the process.
