Program Overview:
Introduction to facilities planning and funding, entitlement processing, Proposition 39 (under which school districts must provide reasonably equivalent facilities to charter schools), and environmental due diligence for charter schools. Designed for charter school principals, administrators, teachers and parents interested in starting a new school or expanding their existing facilities, this course discusses the facilities procurement process and provides an overall understanding of this often complicated procedure.

- Dwayne Mears, M.R.P., AICP, has completed the CEQA review of over 200 new and expanding schools. Mears serves as principal-in-charge of environmental services for The Planning Center and has authored articles on CEQA.
- Michael George Vail, B. A., Communications from California State University, Fullerton, has cerificates in School Business Management and Land Use Planning and is a Senior Advisory at The Planning Center in Costa Mesa.
