Mr. Sapin attended Dartmouth College and received his undergraduate degree in economics from the University of California at San Diego. He received his law degree from U.C.L.A. School of Law in 1981. He also attended the Institute for International Law in Oxford, England. He was admitted to practice in California in 1981 and in federal tax court in 1982. Mr. Sapin is a Certified Specialist in Taxation, granted by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. Based on votes received from his peers in San Diego, he was selected for inclusion in the 2007 Southern California Super Lawyers® - San Diego list for Tax.
