Teddy was elderly, blind, and almost deaf when he arrived at the San Diego Humane Society. Could a home be found for him? A clinical audiologist fitted Teddy with a doggy hearing aid and he was placed with a loving family.

Many animals arrive at the society in need of a little extra help. With the best possible care from loving and skilled staff members and volunteers, plus the benefits of warm, home-like habitats, modern training techniques and an innovative new campus, adoptable animals get a second chance.

Procopio has helped the Society bring pets and people together for 14 years. We helped develop an innovative shared use agreement for the Society's public/private partnership with the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, assist in charitable contribution matters, draft lease agreements and resolve contractor disputes and employment issues. We also counsel the Society's board regarding non-profit organization matters, and attend all board meetings.
